I don't know what's wrong with me, but when everyone else wants to be doing the old red, green, white and 'fair isle' thing -- I just want to go to simpler tones. Dusty pink browns, whites and soft greys with some occasional hardness of black thrown in for good measure.

I just want to retreat into my bedroom with a book, a candle and nice big blanket.

It's all well and good me saying 'here's a Christmas gift guide, folks!' - but it's actually my birthday before that... maybe I just wanted to forget I'll be another year older? Le sigh...

Anyway, three little things I wouldn't mind being gifted to me on my 22nd year. ;)

Gift Guide 2012 - Vol 2 - The Mother

I am back again with another gift guide for Christmas. This time it's for our mothers. The ladies that give us life, teach important life lessons and have a penchant for gin and tonics... ;)

1. Anna Sheffield Gold Plated Sacred Geometric Button Earrings - £75. If you're perhaps looking to splurge a little on your mother this year, then why not these geometric earring studs? Classic geometry go together like cheese and biscuits, I say. 

2. Diptyque Jasmine Scented Candle - 190g - £38. Personally speaking, my mother lived in Spain for twenty years of her life and that being said - adores the scent of jasmine and honeysuckle which reminds her of her friends gardens and what not. Diptyque candles are notorious for their beautiful scents and cute labels to boot. 

3. Initial Coin Purse - £14. My mother, bless her, like yours probably, keeps all of her change. Doesn't put it in a money bank at home but keeps it in her purse like the rest of her gold coins and crisp notes. I'll be buying her this with her initial on so she can keep it seperate and look cute at the same time. 

4 No7 Pamper and Polish kit - £20. Any woman appreciates a decent mani/pedi so why not buy this sweet set from Boots and then treat your mother and do it for her. 

5. Illustrated British Garden Bird Key Ring - £8.50. Not to add any more to my mothers bulging keys, but this little guy is too cute to pass up!
