Organic Surge | Overnight Sensation Night Cream

I've said it before and I'll say it again; my favourite part of the day (both morning and evening,) is cleansing, toning, moisturising and everything else in between. Can you say 'seruming'? No? In any case; I've mentioned this little pot of beauty sleep before, in various posts but never really given it a post of it's own. Dare I say the Organic Surge Overnight Sensation Night Cream (mouthful!) is my favourite night cream?

Botanics All Bright Night Cream

I've been using the Botanics All Bright Night Cream for the past 2-3 months now and thought I'd share my views on it.

It's a rich moisturiser so best for skin types like myself, dry/dehydrated - but I also have sensitive skin (thrown in just for good measure, right?) and this is perfectly fine for me, it doesn't induce a mad red face half hour after application (why does that happen?) and absorbs well. 

Obviously if you do have sensitive skin, always do a patch test just to be on the safe side. 

Being from the Botanics range, it's focus is on the 'power of plants' and in this case, the Hibiscus plant which is apparently 'natures brightness booster' which means they've used a mild exfoliant from the plant in order to brighten your skin (so in this case, go easy on the exfoliating toners if you do choose to use this,) - it also contains hyaluronic acid which is a moisture booster and it's also formulated without parabens. 

So does it work? - This really did help brighten my skin over the course of the night without anything (aka, environment damage,) interrupting it's thang. Would I purchase again? Yes, and I'd completely recommend it considering it is amazing for it's price range, under £5 and usually in the 3 for 2 offer that Boots often has running on skincare. 

Here's the technical bit (ingredients;) Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Prunus amygdalus dulcis (Sweet almond) oil, Dimethicone, Cetearyl alcohol, Cetearyl olivate, Sorbitan olivate, Hibiscus sabdariffa flower extract, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) butter, Sodium polyacrylate, Phenoxyethanol, Xanthan gum, Dimethicone crosspolymer, Caprylyl glycol, Parfum (Fragrance), Citric acid, Sodium hyaluronate, Sodium benzoate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dipropylene glycol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tocopheryl acetate, Benzoic acid, Dehydroacetic acid.

Softening Sugared Almond Shower Gel, Overnight Sensation Night Cream.

I came across Organic Surge whilst on my searches for a new night cream. I've tried a few, Palmers being pretty good and, should I have not made this little purchase, then I probably would have re-purchased.

I bought the night cream. And this sugared almond shower gel. OH MY GAWD!

This shower gel smells so good! Think L'Occitane Shower oil, but better, in my honest opinion. I always think that shower/bath products should smell good (of course, different scents for different people, we all got different favourites, yo,) and also be fun. Does anyone else get that? I feel most of the time when I'm prepping my face, that sometimes it can feel like a bore? It's never a bore in the shower... But I digress.

It does what it says on the tube, cleansing and softening, double check! Great smelling, check! Reasonably priced, check! Not to mention it's organic. 100%, yo. 

That means no nasties. Huzzah!

The night cream could have me waxing lyrical. It feels more like a balm, and when applied the scent isn't overly strong (like the botanics toner, for instance,) and has my skin feeling super soft in the morning, not to mention redness has reduced in my cheeks - win win. 

So definitely have a gander at the Organic Surge website. Plus there's upto 60% off... need any more reasons?

No7 Beautiful Skin - Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm - Review

No7 Beautiful Skin Overnight Revitalising Eye Balm - 15ml - £12 (boots.com)

I can be pretty paranoid about my under eye area. I've tried other eye creams of course, some have left my eyes dry and irritated (not what you want) and others have just had no effect what so ever.

This is £12 so an average price it would seem for 'specialist' area creams - most retailing over £10 nowadays, it's a reasonable price considering how much product you get -- and like most of the No7 range, it is hypo-allergenic so can suit most skin types - note, it is not paraben free.

I'm gradually seeing the benefits from using this every night with my usual skin care regime, so this is not a full review - it will be at another point in time. I like to give skincare products about two months run before I give the final word on how I feel about them. I'm nothing if not consistent!

That being said about consistency - it is a cream, gel like product that you are meant to pat on the under eye area (gently, of course) and let it soak in over night to get the full benefits.

I'm really enjoying this product right now, so stay tuned to get my overall thoughts at a later date.
