Empties #5

Second part in today's empties posts and it's all skincare which to be honest is what most of my pennies go on...

Avene Gentle Toner; A great toner for if you have sensitive skin, it's really hydrating and calms the skin beautifully before applying serum. I tended to use this and then follow up with the Botanics Ultra Calm Serum to ensure I didn't have a flare up.

Avene Thermal Spring Water; This is a regular repurchase as you can tell from the two bottles. I used this post-cleanse and pre-toner but I've also used this as a toner by itself (normally when my skin had a flare up), during the summer for sun burn (to cool it,) and razor irritation too. It's one of those do-all products that's a must for sensitive skin.

Clarins Exfoliating Toner; This was a gift with purchase sample but thought I'd throw it in because it is amazing! It's a gentle exfoliating toner and even this sample lasted two weeks - full size is on the pricier side of skincare but I'll definitely picking it up and it's definitely worth the money. I used this of an evening before a hydrating toner and it's gentle enough to use every night, even on my sensitive skin. It really did brighten my complexion, so a repurchase is definitely on the cards.

Garnier Body Tonic Sugar Scrub; My go-to scrub during the summer as I could afford it to be a little 'scrubbier' or 'rougher' than my usual choices, this is perfect for sloughing away dead skin and perfect to use on feet too. It foams up when wet and leaves a really fresh scent behind. I tend to use a more gentle scrub during autumn and winter but I'll definitely be picking this one up again when summer rolls around...

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum; My favourite serum that I've used, ever. A bold statement I know, but it really does leave skin soothed, hydrated and just lovely looking. It's also under £20 and considering how long it lasts - great value for money.

La Roche-Posay Hydreane Riche; Finally, I've used this bad boy up. This is the ultimate sensitive-skin safe ultra rich face cream I've ever used. Ultra hydrating and soothing, I preferred to use this as a night cream as it is so rich (they do have a light version for oily/combination skin types,) but it's also perfect for rogue dry patches that lurk during the winter months. I've already re-purchased.

So that is finally the end of my empties posts, have you tried any of these products?

Peace!
