Aqua Light

I'm a huge fan of great hair care that doesn't cost the earth and I'm probably not alone, right? The problem is that there is so much choice - do you go silicone free, sulfate free - do you have dry, oily or normal hair. There in lies my continuous problem which usually leads to countless Google searches of reviews and ingredients lists - sometimes coming away triumphantly, other times not so much.

I found my perfect routine, with the L'Oreal Ever Pure range - it seriously is a great combination - especially for my coloured hair but I also found that the Dove Colour Radiance range is also brilliant (and even cheaper than L'Oreal,) for my hair - but on a recent trip to Tesco (these things always start out with 'and on a pop in Tesco/Morrisons...) I picked up some Pantene Aqua Light products - just because my hair had become so heavy and blargh. I needed some lightness to switch it up every now and again...

Enter this Aqua Light range; and I have noticed how light my hair feels once dry - it also passes the test of not making my hair uber greasy after the first wash (so frustrating) and it just feels great that my hair falls back into it's natural waves because it's not weighed down with various products. 

These aren't sulfate free - which is a shame for my coloured hair, but the shampoo is silicone free (which can dry out the hair,) and also free from parabens and dyes. Oddly enough, the conditioner does have silicones in, but it doesn't advertise as being silicone free - I kind of suspect it might have slightly less silicones though, to be part of the lightweight range although that is just my speculation.

My hair is odd, it is fine but there is lots of it, the roots tend to get greasy whilst the ends can get dry and of course it's also coloured. I find that whilst my hair loves moisture, sometimes it can be weighed down by ultra-rich products (Tresemme - it makes me look like I've dumped oil over myself, nice.) 

It's a really great all-rounder range I think, for an excellent price point and although I'm currently on a strict budget (the woes of being off work,) I am of the firm belief if you want nice hair and skin - it has to start from the inside and then the best products you can afford.

L'Oreal EverPure Shampoo and Conditioner

Okay, so I received some samples of this L'Oreal EverPure (hence a shameful Google image, apologies,) and gave a little test run and here's what I think.

I suppose it would be ideal to say what they are claiming (they being L'Oreal, of course,) which is...

• Vegan Friendly 
• Sulfate Free 
• Natural Botanicals 
• Protects Color From Fading 
• No Animal By Products 
• No Animal Testing

While this is all dandy, still check the ingredients. It's not 100% organic - even if it does contain some natural botanicals - it still does contain some nasties...

That being said I was intrigued purely to try a Sulfate Free shampoo/conditioner combo - this sounding perfect because I also have coloured hair.

I have found overall that my hair hasn't turned to grease which sometimes happens of day 2 of not washing my hair (Pantene conditioners are awful for this, so I use sparingly,) which is always nice because I hate having greasy hair, and don't really like using a lot of dry shampoo if I have to dash out into the world where people can see my hair...

It feels soft, but my hair is fine anyway (there is just lots of it,) smells quite nice and overall has been quite a pleasurable experience - my scalp has immediately seen less itch to it. 

As for holding my colour - I'm going to remain 'mum' on that until I have my hair dyed again, then I will start using these products again to see how long my colour stays bright.

I will say though that it has been extremely colourful in various kinds of light, not just direct sunlight - a bit more so than usual. :)

I haven't done a video in yonks, but I am still at that stage where I am worried about my pox marks. Silly, as most of them from my face have gone. But I digress...

I've used 3 bottles of the Aussie Colour Mate since my last vlogs on youtube. It really is beautiful and smells amazing. Can't get enough. I use it especially after I have had my hair dyed (no, not a natural red...) and it gives my hair some life after being battered by peroxide. :)

Strange to include the vitamins but this is an important way of life, getting all the good stuff. I've actually been remembering to take my multi-vits, omega and garlic tablets for a change and feel much better. Also having mildly cut out some crap in terms of eating habits has helped. Just need to kick my filthiest habit; smoking. Then I'm all set.

The Revlon lip stains are a given; they really are worth the hype!

Hugo Boss Orange - My favourite scent ever. It's my staple. 

One more thing; the Caudalie Serum was a freebie from feel unique because I purchased the Beauty Elixir. It is AMAZING! Pricey at about £36 but I can see it being an investment!
