I really enjoyed doing the 'five favourites' post that I did a little while ago. It makes a nice change from being all "OMG MAKEUP YAY!" 

So, I hope you don't mind but I think I'll continue on with it, I know at one point or another I will do another beauty monthly favourites but you know, I'm digging this.

I had anticipated this week to be hectic, catching up on things I've left by the wayside because of the holiday period - however I hadn't realised just how hectic it would actually be. Lesson learnt, don't put the little stuff off. It builds.

In any case I've still been spying and perusing beauties to lust over from around the web; I'm particularly in love with that knitted cushion. Winter heaven.

I am in the ultimate festive spirit - the Christmas tree is going up today (our wardrobes are so full of gifts the tree has to go up purely so we can all have room again,) and there are plenty of bargains to be had from around the web, especially as it's 'cyber Monday.'

Can we just take a moment to gaze at those shoes? Jeez, the sparkle would brighten any outfit and they are just so darn Christmas-y. Swoon.

Similarly, the warm smokey eye palette from Bobbi Brown looks just as alluring as the shoes - with a mix of matte, shimmers and glitter to see you through all the festivities. They also have a cool toned palette too, if that's more to your liking.

As promised this week is back to normal and so with it, a few random picks from around the web. Since doing the little gift guides last week it's safe to say I'm properly into the festive spirit now... Not that you could tell, right?

First of all, can I just say; that owl decoration? Jeez, it's a little creepy but it's safe to say I need it. Want it. Who doesn't like a festive owl. Those pajamas? Could you just imagine rocking around on Christmas eve/morning with those on? I can. 

This week I've got lots of uni work to catch up on but some pretty lush posts coming your way this week.

I'd also like to say a big thank you to Amy (of srslylou,) who did a blog loving feature and my little ol' blog was on it along with a few other cool blogs too. It's kind to share some blogger love, I think and reminded me I need to update my blogroll sometime this week too.

With that being said - hello to new followers! This blog has been around since September 2011 and has gone through A LOT of changes since then. I can't even bring myself to delete cringey posts from way back when, just because of sentimental reasons. Back then I didn't know what I wanted this blog to be, but I soon figured it out and this is where I am today.

Happy Monday lovelies!

Time is flying by - especially when you're stuck inside nursing a bad back. 

I now have more sympathy for my father - it's frustrating - there's so much to do, that I have to do myself but can't, there's only so much that others can do. So on hold it goes.

Hopefully it will get better and if so, I'll be back to work - if that's the case blog posts are seriously going to fall behind - if I'm at home, I should be able to post a little somethin' somethin'.

Hello Lovelies!

This week I'm still slaving away at work, car insurance is due so no rest for the wicked. 

The bonus is that I have Friday and Saturday off - so I'm planning a trip to the local pub for lunch, plenty of film watching and hopefully good walks with the dogs. Simple things, much like my choices for this week.

I especially love the homeware from H&M at the moment. Cute little pieces you can add in rotation to the usual stuff in your abode. Oh and that jumper? £18 from Matalan but you can buy two for £20... er, yes please. One in grey, one in blue for spring.

Glasses - £4.

I usually find Matalan hit or miss with their clothing, but I've never had a problem with their shoes and accessories, especially in autumn.

So whilst shopping for emergency bedding (long story that involves my mother buying a too big mattress...) I also picked up some little bits that deserved my love...
