Apologies for a lack of standard catch up post last week - but I'm still fighting with my laptop - I think we've almost got it sorted (a cable was literally broken in half on the inside...) so hopefully I'll be reunited with my beloved machine soon...

I have been super busy this week! I've managed to creep up on uni work (and I'll be doing a shed load tomorrow,) and also managed to do a few bits and bobs around the home (sans lifting or bending, of course,) plus managed to cook dinner four nights running (again, needing help getting to the oven!) but still; it's the little things. I'm hoping to go out for lunch today (weather permitting) and a gentle walk with the dogs tomorrow. Poor Trix has been so poorly with her Cushings Disease it's been hard trying to get her out - I'm hoping it'll be a good day for her. 

I've also literally just had a hair appointment, chopped off my fringe a little bit shorter than usual just because it grows so fast and kept the layers a little longer around the main 'bulk' of my hair... It becomes pretty odd near week six/seven after having my hair cut that I just hate it so much (mostly down to the fringe,) so I'm helping this helps.

Apologies for the ramble but it's just one of those Saturdays!

What an amazing week for beauty, right? First of all the Revlon Matte Balms are now in Boots (and soon Superdrug,) and I've ordered my first one - so far, it's love and I'll be going back for more. The NARSissist palettes are also now available online, I think it was the quickest ordering I've ever done. Seriously.

I've also got a lot done for uni work too; I've realised that the week I go away in April is the week I have another TMA to do, so I'm hauling my ass into gear to get ahead of myself again. I can't believe I've only got four more months left of this course, it's gone so quickly!

This weekend will mostly be cleaning related (always boring,) again and more work for uni; but how does the saying go? No rest for the wicked...

This week has been highly productive! I've had lots of time to focus on some Uni work, a spot of cleaning and a tiny bit of shopping (not really for me, actually,) plus the spending ban is going quite well - all deliveries I'm receiving are actually orders I made in December... funny how bank holidays screw up delivery systems...

There is still a lot of cleaning to be done, some that involves moving the 'heffer' that is the wardrobe - so I can only watch on that activity. But it's good - a pretty decent winter/spring clean after Christmas is always therapeutic, if a little tiring.

It's been one of those weeks again where I've actually got a lot of things done, but I actually felt like I've missed something very crucial. I haven't, but I still feel like something else should of been done...

It is still hot. I cannot believe it. Seriously, we haven't had a summer like this in years so I feel pretty amazed that it hasn't started raining here in Devon. I feel lucky, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more great weather. 

Due to this 'stage 3' heatwave however, the only make up I have really been wearing is nail polish - tonight however I'm going to have to brave some sort of coverage as Josh and I are going to a show/play that his mothers acting in. Excited? Yes! Nervous for the inevitable back pain? Pretty much - but it's something I'm just having to get on with at the moment as we promised we'd go months ago.

I've been pretty good the past few weeks at saving my money; however there are a few things that I am lusting over thanks to Alix from I Covet Thee - her London haul blog post made me want to blow all my savings! Another post I've been loving (in video form,) was the Pixiwoo ladies and London Beauty Queen speaking about sun care and spf on the Body Talk show. Informative and straight to the point? Yup!

Hello Lovelies!

This week has been animal-centric, judging by my instagram. Sorry, but not sorry.

My parents came back from their holidays which means their dogs are over the moon at having their main human back (read; my mother.)

Josh and I bought another hamster; a Syrian if you didn't guess and we've called her Wanda Mugwump - I love her already and it's only day three. I've also showed off my parents friends new pup Maddie - how gorgeous are dalmatians?

A little back update if I haven't mentioned it already - I tripped twice now going up the stairs and it's jarred again - I'm still going back to work in hopes that it'll go of it's own accord...eh. 

So I'm planning on making a trip back to Endsleigh (it's a garden center near where I live and it stocks small animals, it's where I got Wanda,) - however I mentioned the kind of other stuff they stock to my mum and she wants to make a visit today. 

Apart from that this weekend will just be spent finishing up any odds and ends before I go back to work on Tuesday.

instagram #15 - This Week

 Hello there, new friend! // Had a look on the food on my instagram, a good 50/50 ratio of good and bad. ;)

The blog has been souped up! // A really simple salad/houmous/cous cous dinner. Yum!

Whilst my back has not improved, my mindset has this week. I've been productive where I can whilst trying to nurse myself back to health and feel much better for it. 

My purchases started arriving, the basic throw I ordered looks really good in the living room - nice, neutral and lighter than the previous slate grey (which looks much better on the bed anyway, the material was too soft for a sofa, I feel,) and overall I'm pleased with how it's all going. So far I've also got a few more things on the way. I think doing it week by week (or had I been paid monthly, month by month,) it evens it all out a bit for cost control. 

Maybe once it's all done I will do a 'big reveal' and mini-reviews on some of the stuff I've bought (Ikea, The Range etc.) Let me know if that's something you're interested in seeing.

Hello lovelies!

It is the blessed weekend again! I'm currently waiting on some news, that should hopefully reach my ears come Monday/first days of the week, so I'm pretty nervous/excited for that!

I cannot believe it is September already! Yikes! The man will be starting uni at the end of September and that got me thinking (dangerous,) about some quick crafts to do over the weekend for school related items.

God bless Pinterest, is all I can say. 

How about the above D.I.Y? It'd literally take five minutes and you'd end up with a unique notebook for your studies!
