November Favourites

This month hasn't been great on the skin front; I had a really random breakout around the chin area and I don't usually break out as badly as this, so I've kept wearing make up to a minimum and amping my spot-fighting and relieving skincare stash. So without further ado, my favourites for November...

First up, for aiding my poor blemished chin; the Vichy Normaderm Nuit cream is a bit of an odd texture but a favourite when blemishes come out to play. It really reduces the redness around the blemishes and reduces the size of said blemish. It's actually a year round favourite of mine, even if it does smell like play dough...

For day time moisturisers I've been reaching for the Super Facialist by Una Brennan Rose Hydrate day cream. It contains SPF15 which is always handy but it's main properties I adore are the fact it's super hydrating and calming (a great one if you're redness prone like myself,) which has been great for the really sore blemishes I had.

I mentioned my love (and now addiction,) of the Reve de Miel Lip Balm, but I didn't particularly want that beloved glass jar rolling at the bottom of my bag (I'm also the known glass-breaker in my house,) so picked up the stick format. It's not as potent smelling as the one in the jar, nor the cleanser (another addiction,) but it does provide the nourishment and hydrating qualities especially needed in winter. It is worth mentioning this provides a slight sheen - as opposed to the glass jar version, which is more of a matte finish (so pretty perfect before applying matte lipsticks.)

Two things that have been providing me with a bit of a healthy glow and complexion in the make up department; the Bourjois Bronzing Primer looks hellish in the jar but upon application and blended out where the sun would naturally hit provides the perfect amount of sun-kissed bronze to the face without looking  fake. Secondly the Collection Illuminating Touch concealer has been a godsend, I chose to apply this to the tops of cheekbones, cupids bow and down the center of my nose to give the most perfect natural highlight. It's cheap, but it works.

I have not stopped wearing MAC's Russian Red since purchasing it, it's just the most perfect matte red I've ever worn. Simply put; go buy it. Really. It's just beautiful. There's no drag when applying and feels quite creamy - plus it doesn't dry out my lips which most mattes do.

Last but not least is the HD Brows Eye and Brow Palette - I've been rocking the most perfect brows thanks to this beauty and it's perfect for taking away for travel too, since it's a pretty perfect matte quad. In love and I don't know what I was doing before it. Seriously.

So tell me, what are your November favourites?

Peace!

  1. Oh i wish i could get my hands on the HD Brow Palette! I've just been filling in my eyebrows with a single shadow from MUA, it actually looks quite similar to the bottom right one from the palette. x
