Barbara Daly Long Wear Eyeshadow

The Barbara Daly range isn't a cosmetic brand I actively seek out; it's usually when I'm perusing the aisles of Tesco that one thing might peak my interest, but other than that it's not my first port of call. Now, I feel kind of bad about that because I picked up this beauty for a mere £3...

The Long Wear Eyeshadow is a cream eyeshadow pencil/pen (twisty stick variety*, you know the drill by now...) and whilst this kind of eyeshadow is far from new however this particular shadow had to be shared because it's simply beautiful.

I picked up the shade "Shimmering Sand," a gorgeous copper bronze shade with a slight rosy undertone. A quick swipe of this over the lids and blended out with fingers (fingers work best but a dense eye brush works just as well,) gives a really gorgeous sheen to the lids - but you can layer it up for a more dramatic look easily.

In terms of wear - I swatched this and another shade (Shell,) and then spent the day out walking (read; getting hot and flustered and overall a hot mess,) with multiple hand washes and a shower at the end of the day... Still in place. Still shimmering away beautifully. On the lid? No creases, no budging. Just sheeny perfection.

It has to be said I was so surprised that it was so darn long lasting - it is such a creamy product, buttery soft and so a pinch to blend (before it sets!) that I hadn't expected much at all. Verdict? I think I'll be going back to the Barbara Daly stand to pick up the other shades too.

For £3 it's not exactly breaking the bank, right?

Have you tried the Barbara Daly Long Wear Eyeshadow?

Sophie.

Edit* STYLO! Not a twisty stick... I mean. My terminology is sound as always.

  1. Woah, only £3? And so pretty! It is mostly definitely a twisty stick, aha! No need for proper terms ;) x

    1. Okay, okay. Twisty stick it shall be! ;)

I'm seriously in love though. I'm going to have to go back for Bronze gold.
