The Barbara Daly range isn't a cosmetic brand I actively seek out; it's usually when I'm perusing the aisles of Tesco that one thing might peak my interest, but other than that it's not my first port of call. Now, I feel kind of bad about that because I picked up this beauty for a mere £3...

Face | Blushers
Rimmel Blusher in Smoked Oyster, Natural Collection Blusher in Peach Melba, Babara Daly Blusher in Peaches and Cream (Cream Blush.)
Carrying on from the Bases edit, concealers and foundations - now I'd like to move on to blushers.
For me, blush is kind of I can either take it or leave it kind of product. If my skin is looking good, I'll use it, if not - I don't have to bother. My cheeks are always blushing/flushing - I have sensitive/dry skin and it's a pretty common problem for this skin type, or so I am told - so if I am having a pretty bad 'red' day - I'll forgo the blush because I will end up looking like a red/pink mess come the end of the day.
That being said my skin is being pretty well behaved more often than not these days, so these are my highstreet/drugstore picks.
First up is the Rimmel Mono Blusher in Smoked Oyster - this is my blush of choice during warmer months - usually of an evening if I am honest, when although I don't tan, this blush is more on the brownish side to give my skin a little 'I've been in the sun, but I've only got freckles to show for it!' kind of glow. If that makes any sense at all. It's an overall good blush, pigmented, easy to work with - the only issue is the packaging - my god, how long has Rimmel had their mono blushes in these? Revamp, please?
Secondly is the Barbara Daly Cream Blusher (otherwise known as Velvet Blusher, I believe,) in Peaches and Cream. I adore this, because paired with my Real Techniques stippling brush - it goes on like a dream. I love to use this all year round but it is particularly flattering in spring/summer - purely because of the coral tones of the product. I literally have no issues with this blusher and I recommend you go see when you do your weekly in Tesco.
Lastly, a little gem hidden in Boots. Not too dissimilar to that of Macs Melba, is this lovely, under two frickin' pounds blusher. Natural Collection has long been a favourite since I was a young teen and let's be honest, I took their cheapness for granted because their quality is pretty insane - I adore their duo eyeshadows for staying power/pigmentation! The quality of this blusher - especially for the price range, is quite frankly a god send - it's the perfect blusher for year round use - that will suit most skin tones and let's be honest, won't exactly hurt the purse strings. I'm on my second pot now, which says a lot, given my redness issues...
So concludes my blushers edit from the highstreet/drugstores - all reasonably priced, all pretty solid contenders.
What's your favourite blusher?
Peace!

handbag + cinema going
I went to the cinema on Saturday evening to see twilight with my oldest sister, followed by an amazing burrito at Chiquitos.
I bought a simple black cross body for £10 at Tesco, I also got two tops in the sale, both £7 - so not a bad steal that day.
Currently trying to catch up on sleep/studying. Staying up late doesn't agree with me. Such an old lady!
Peace!

Hi lovelies!
Just to let you know, I got these pretties on a special offer at Tesco (3 products for £10... when they are usually £4.99 each!)
So if you're Aussie inclined like me - get over there quickly!

some mascara empties
For the past few months I've been using these two mascaras. One being by Barbara Daly Perfect Lash and the other being L'O'real Paris Volume Million Lashes (for Hazel Eyes.)
I love the Million Lashes mascara, it gives the perfect amount of volume, separation and indeed enhances my eye colour, due to it's slight black/purple colour. Totally worth the money, it's middle of the range for pricing and can be found in most drug stores or supermarkets (if they stock L'O'real, which most do or so I have found...)
I didn't know what to expect with the Perfect Lash, because I had never used Barbara Daly products before. I have since come to love the eye-shadow (taupe) and cream blushers - but this mascara left me feeling a bit disappointed. It improved the length of the lashes, but it clumped so wasn't really great for separation and didn't make my lashes look very thicker. It's all well and good with a dual eye brush for brows/lashes to separate and a good eyelash curler at hand... but I won't be buying this one again.
Have you used any of these products? What did you think?
Peace!

my new (ish) nude loves...
So when I say new, I obviously mean about a month old. Apologies.
I've spoke about the Vivo range before - it's from Tesco, it's cheap, they are good... That is all you need to know, because I implore you to go into your local store and see for yourself. I would link to trio, but alas, it's not on the website - so just pop in!
I believe I got this for £5 or less - so still cheap!
Secondly, the 12 colour palette 'sun kissed' is from a store I had never heard of. Savers. Now when my friend said about going here to pick up some eyelash glue, I just plodded along beside her as I do and then walked in and was like... WHAT THE ...
So many things! I nearly died, literally when I saw this beauty for £1.69. That's right. I tell you no lies. Under two fricking quid. Shit son!
The pigmentation on both of these is great - when I use my No7 eye base, it's completely amazing. I think as long as you have a primer, you will find a love for these products, for real.
Because I will not be buying Naked/Naked2 palette for £36.00 - especially when it is not even in stock, at my local counter? No advertisements... You lose Urban Decay!
I think though, the main reason why I love them, is because they aren't over loaded with glitter - which I wouldn't mind - However during the day I don't want to look like I'm going on a night out... and UD generally fails there, on all accounts...
So yes. My neutrals collection, well, part of it.
Peace!

all about nails...
| Crazy claw hand returns... |
I showed in this post a nail polish named Caribbean Coconut - by All About Nails - A brand I found in Tesco - they also offer face products too...
Deciding to jazz it up ever so slightly, I added 'Shimmy Shake' in Collection 2000's Hot Look Nail Polish range.
I concentrated most of the gold near the base of the nail, so it was a light shimmer at the top - and most of the nude was on show there. :)
It looks pretty. Crazy claw does not.
Hope you have a relaxing weekend!
Peace!

addictions
I have a confession. It's not a secret to my loved ones. But to you guys, you have no idea of what kind of trouble I'm in.
I'm talkin' full blown addiction here. I'm talkin' about nails. Nail varnish, in fact.
I was purchasing some foundation at tesco - bearing in mind I haven't worn foundation for about three years, but due to my own curiosity, I payed out for some, and it is perfect, but back to my addiction...
As I was shopping around I saw a stand saying 'All About...' and there was gorgeous little nail varnishes for 99p, which were what caught my eye and some gorgeous eye palettes that I think I am going to try - I would of even got the coral blusher, but alas, they had sold out!
I purchased 'Coconut Milk' - and I love it! It's almost like a pretty pink/peach neutral, and it really suits my skin tone. :)
It took about two-three coats to become opaque,
So, if you have a nail varnish addiction head on over to tesco and perk up your day!
Peace!
