Blemish Fighting Trio

Around mid-October I broke out horrendously, around the chin area and I still have no idea why it happened, whether it was hormonal, diet or product. However, when a breakout of mass proportions occur, I call upon these three to help...
Burt's Bees Radiance Toner; After having tried a few radiance and exfoliating toners (Clarins Exfoliating Toner is a firm favourite too,) this Burt's Bees toner is great for giving radiant skin - it's ingredients list is also pretty tiny - which is always comforting when you don't want to aggravate the skin further.

Balance Me Radiance Facial Oil; I've spoken about this a few times, a great facial oil that hydrates and makes skin look plumper and generally more 'alive.' I find that oils are a great way to reduce the redness of blemishes and hydrate the area at the same time. The Trilogy Rosehip Oil is also great for this.

Origins Super Spot Remover; A great on the spot treatment and a little goes a long way with this one. I think people's mistake with spot treatments like this (and Freederm) is to pile on the gel, which tends to aggravate the spot more and dry it out. All is needed is light layers - add your facial oil on top and repeat the process, much like Caroline Hirons says here

Of course it goes without saying that if you are suffering from a breakout, drink plenty of water and cut out sugary drinks and eat fish like it's going out of fashion. Vegetarian? Nuts and seeds are your friends.

What are your blemish fighting heroes?

Peace!
