Dry Skin Saviours

As someone who suffers with dry skin (and eczema,) especially in the winter months - I pull out the products that are going to keep my skin soothed and moisturised...
I know a lot of people who say they always forget to apply moisturiser post bath or shower. I am not one of these people, in fact I would go as far to say as pedantic about keeping my skin in best condition it can be in, without breaking the bank. With eczema, I don't waste money on high-end body care when it could end up irritating my sensitive skin, so without further ado, the four best products I have found over the years to sooth irritated, dry skin.

The Aveeno Bath and Shower Oil* is one of the best I've found, especially for shower use. When you pour it out, it feels more like a gel/oil (sounds weird, right?) but it means that it's far easier to control so you're not pouring money down the drain. Once water comes in contact it emulsifies into a milk (as most shower oils do,) and your skin is left soft and soothed.

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume had a lot of hype around it for being great for dry skin and it really is. I keep this by my bedside for topping up any dry areas like elbows, knees, hands - whatever needs a little soothing before bed.

For feet, something I use year round is the Soap and Glory Heel Genius. It smells amazing, does a fantastic job at softening the driest of skin and is under a tenner - you seriously cannot go wrong with this one.

Last but not least, the Aveeno Skin Relief Cooling Menthol Lotion*. I used this all throughout the summer and have carried on using it purely because of the relief that the menthol provides on sensitive skin. It is a lotion that is easily absorbed, but feels quite balm like. A great one if you've been really suffering with irritated skin.

I'm all ears, what's your favourite dry skin saviours?

Sophie.
