Life #2

I should and obviously can come up with a more creative title for these kinds of blog posts. But I'm rolling with this, that cool?
I know I've still been considerably absent (don't even get me started about not posting two million tweets a day to promote this little blog, I know I should be but I just always forget about twitter at some points and then suddenly its been two months or so since my last, live tweet,) not posting the usual six days a week. Partly because I'm still ill but also down to the fact that I simply don't want to any more, at least for now.

It's not like there was pressure for me to blog that much - apart from in my own head. I felt that I had been doing it for so long I must keep up with it, but it just lead to a complete writers block or blogger burn out. Whichever way you want to spin it.

I bought some new winter coats for the dogs last year (I still can't fathom that last year was only two weeks ago,) before the weather turned bad and I'm so glad I did because the wind has been so strong on Dartmoor. One funny side effect from the half collar half hood that is on the coats is that their little ears stick up as they walk. Like little bat-dogs!

That was how the weekend was spent, taking ourselves out into the cold, windy and to be honest horrendously soggy moorland getting only pink weathered cheeks and noses in return. Retreating back to the warmth inside, followed by hot chocolate and on Sunday a delicious roast dinner. Films followed, along with a glass of honey whisky. Delicious days.

How was your weekend?

Sophie.

  2. You have to try Jack Daniels Honey - it is so good. Jim Beam also has a similar one that is pretty luscious. Not that I am encouraging people to drink. ;)
