Your New Best Friend

Okay. This might not be new to you, but on a recent lurk around my local Boots, praying they had more than just Batiste for dry shampoo offerings - I spied this Toni&Guy Casual Matt Texture Dry Shampoo. New in the ridiculously small line up of offerings in the small branch. 

From the same 'casual' line as their beloved sea salt spray, I bought two. Because I was that sure of my purchase. And it was on offer. Same thing, really.

Tangles; Sorted

Thanks to having fine hair and lots of it, my hair often looks like a lions mane. Often full of tangles - either post shower or post sleep and always usually in an awkward spot, that if left unchecked can end up in dread lock style tangles. Nice.

Aussie Miracle Colour Insurance Leave in Conditioner

I've mentioned before that I'm pretty easy when it comes to my hair care and styling. The only issue I have really is trying to keep my colour locked in for longer so I do tend to buy products aimed at that - colour protection, insurance, etc.

Aussie have been a brand I have used for years - their products work well and smell amazing which is pretty much all I want from a hair care product - to do what it says it's going to do and smell good. It helps if it's under a tenner, too.

I started using the leave in conditioner for a variety of reasons but the main issue is my hair tends to become a nest if left to it's own devices (just using shampoo and conditioner,) usually when I've been asleep. Due to my hair being fine but there is lots of it - I can end up with knots the size of my fist. Sexy.

In an attempt to rid myself of the mane I picked up this leave in conditioner (no, not the same bottle,) - probably about three years ago when I saw my mum using it and I've used it ever since. 

I find that just spritzed through the ends of my hair after my shower really helps in getting rid of the knots but also conditioning my coloured hair at the same time. I don't use much so a bottle of this stuff can last for months on end so really frickin' economical and good for your purse strings. It also smells pretty amazing too. Yum.

I've also used this on dry hair and it works - I've used it when I've run out of conditioner and I've even spritzed some on just because I love the smell so much!

december wishings - beauty

Getting closer to Christmas and the throes of winter means that I truly want to pamper my poor skin, nails and hair to some good old (er, well some are new...) quality brands that we know and love, but may not always be able to justify spending the funds on... maybe I am speaking for myself... but whatever. I ain't rich. :)

I've tried Dior's new foundation in Light Beige and it truly is a thing of beauty. I will definitely be purchasing this bad boy come pay day.

just a small change, two and a half inches off the length, but i feel it makes a huugggeee difference to how i feel! i love having longer hair -- but i'm quite enjoying mid-length right now too!

clean, for sure. loaded with hairspray at the moment? hell yeah. bed head? perhaps...

tonight my hairdresser is coming around soon and since me and my hair have been having arguments recently, i've decided to have a mild change...

the colour will be the same for now (i've decided to wait until after my friends wedding to change the colour;)... but the style needs to be done!

this photo makes my hair look especially bad! eep! also, why are my roots grey/black when i have dark brown hair naturally? why? is this what happens when you put more red in brown hair? regardless...

my hair is fine, but there is loads of it, not evidenced in this photo. so when it gets to this stage i'm usually going a bit mad...
