Last week I delved into my skincare shelf and drawer to show you my current skincare routine for the colder months but I realised I'd actually missed out a fair few products that I either use every day or bi-weekly that aren't part of the usual cleanse-tone-moisturise routine...

Nails | Autumn/Winter
There is nothing I love more than (anally) organizing my nail polish collection on the best of days; factor in new seasons and then I'm a goner for at least an hour with my ikea storage. This year, I couldn't narrow it down to five - some aren't easily available anymore, some I've found ridiculously cheap online (but still great quality,) and so without further ado, my personal choice of seven Autumn/Winter ready nail polishes...

Autumn/Winter | H&M Top Picks
The first place I go to shop, be it online or in store is always H&M - I can't abide the queues and other madness in Primark, New Look styles are hit and miss sometimes - but the store that always hits the nail on the head for me is without a doubt H&M.
Prices are good, quality is usually excellent. I'm always sold.
So before I gush anymore - I just want to talk through a few of my favourite pieces from some of their new stock - and it's usually stuff that I deem as a 'capsule closet.'
I'll start with accessories because they are usually personal and everyone has their own tastes in terms of that kind of business.
My top three picks are; the pack of four hairbands - I use these a lot as even though my hair is fine I have a lot of it and it will usually need taming with a brush, detangling spray of some sort and either these style hair bands, or hair clips and ties. (5)
Next up, the bag - oh the bag. I don't really need to explain it much further because - well I just love it. It's imitation leather, comes in this mole/nude/pink colour and also black. It's also under twenty pounds. Score. (4)
Lastly for accessories - a pack of rings. I love these for the variety of sizes/thickness - I know they won't last me long and I'll inevitably lose a few somehow - but they are great for completing an outfit. (8)
For shoes - or in this case trainers, I've got my eye on these shearling style lined high tops. I pretty much either wear flats/trainers/healed boots - that goes all year round and these will be perfect for horrendous Devon weather. (1)
Onto clothing and first up is a very simple night dress/slip - and no, not to wear out and about (although if you want to, go ahead, I ain't judging,) - I've bought all mine from H&M in the past and they are still going strong, I just don't have a black one. Need. (2)
I own a few of blouses like this, but the chiffon blouse has a much nicer cut than I've seen anywhere else so far. I'm totally digging the green and nude shades. I've also been wearing these kind of blouses in the hot weather when necessary - so they are really versatile. (3)
For trousers these loose-fitting (comes in three shades/varieties,) black trousers would look pretty amazing with heels or flats - for an evening out/work wear/anything... So I kind of warrant needing them in my life. (6)
Finally - the essential knit. The fine knit to be precise. Big, thick jumpers are alright (I only own one but it is the perfect cut for my shape,) but they usually tend to make me look like a box. I opt for a thin knit jumper instead and layer. This looks heavenly and I want/need it in all the three colours. (7)
So those are my picks from the H&M autumn collection - what are your favourites?
Peace!

Winter Wishings...
I don't know what's wrong with me, but when everyone else wants to be doing the old red, green, white and 'fair isle' thing -- I just want to go to simpler tones. Dusty pink browns, whites and soft greys with some occasional hardness of black thrown in for good measure.
I just want to retreat into my bedroom with a book, a candle and nice big blanket.
Peace!

winter skin savers
If you have a tendency to have dry skin, like me, or even worse, if like me you're also prone to eczema - especially during the winter months, I have a few products I want to sing the praises of!
1.) Morrisons Shower Scrub - £1 - I use a general scrub in winter time, something that will do what it says on the tin, but not be stupid expensive. This stuff is amazing, smells great and gets rid of nasty dead skin cells etc.
2.) E45 Lotion - £2-£4 (roughly) - 200ml - This stuff is essential to the eczema prone! I tend to get in on the inner elbows, back of my knees and hips, I guess the creases of clothing really irritates it during the winter! - This shit is essential.
3.) Morrisons Cocoa Body Butter - £3 (roughly) - 200ml - This smells great, they have different scents too. Like almond, and aloe vera I believe - But I always go for the cocoa. It smells gorgeous, like I said, soaks in well and most importantly - keeps my skin all smooth and dare I say sassy? Does anyone say sassy anymore... I have used other cocoa body butters, and to be fair, they all offer the same thing - I do prefer a mango scented one during summer - from superdrug, but it was wrongly priced - and it put me off buying it again.
4.) E45 Hand Cream - £3 (roughly) - 50ml - Essential. Handbag. Item.
5.) Norwegian Formula Nourishing Foot Cream - £3-£5 (roughly) - Keep your feet pretty with this stuff. I swear with a little love and attention you'll save your feet later on in life!
6.) Bio-Oil - £5+ - 60ml - I mentioned before about bio-oil in two posts. I'll be honest, I know some people use it on their face and have great results - but in the end for me it just wasn't right, it made me break out hideously. However, I use it on common 'problem' areas - and it's working splendidly well!
7.) Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser - £2+ - 125ml - I've used this stuff for years! I love Simple wet-wipes too, for removing make-up! I switch to the light version when I'm on holiday, or if it's especially hot in England. It's cheap for a face cream and it's a no-nonsense-does-its-job-moisturiser!
Peace!
