I am in the ultimate festive spirit - the Christmas tree is going up today (our wardrobes are so full of gifts the tree has to go up purely so we can all have room again,) and there are plenty of bargains to be had from around the web, especially as it's 'cyber Monday.'

Can we just take a moment to gaze at those shoes? Jeez, the sparkle would brighten any outfit and they are just so darn Christmas-y. Swoon.

Similarly, the warm smokey eye palette from Bobbi Brown looks just as alluring as the shoes - with a mix of matte, shimmers and glitter to see you through all the festivities. They also have a cool toned palette too, if that's more to your liking.

As promised this week is back to normal and so with it, a few random picks from around the web. Since doing the little gift guides last week it's safe to say I'm properly into the festive spirit now... Not that you could tell, right?

First of all, can I just say; that owl decoration? Jeez, it's a little creepy but it's safe to say I need it. Want it. Who doesn't like a festive owl. Those pajamas? Could you just imagine rocking around on Christmas eve/morning with those on? I can. 

This week I've got lots of uni work to catch up on but some pretty lush posts coming your way this week.

I'd also like to say a big thank you to Amy (of srslylou,) who did a blog loving feature and my little ol' blog was on it along with a few other cool blogs too. It's kind to share some blogger love, I think and reminded me I need to update my blogroll sometime this week too.

With that being said - hello to new followers! This blog has been around since September 2011 and has gone through A LOT of changes since then. I can't even bring myself to delete cringey posts from way back when, just because of sentimental reasons. Back then I didn't know what I wanted this blog to be, but I soon figured it out and this is where I am today.

So, before I get all soppy - here's to an awesome week!

The next few weeks are gonna be pretty hectic - so bare with me, I'll still be posting but as and when - I do not know. But enough of that boring business, it's Monday - so let's look at some pretty things from around the web.

First up - those tapered 'jogger' style trousers from Topshop. I know it's coming in chilly now and I'll probably be firmly wrapped up in denim on my lower half for the foreseeable future - but these would be perfect for an impromptu warmer day (they happen,) or for an evening out. The camis that Topshop currently stock are so flattering and I kind of want one (or two) in every colour.

Whilst still planning my little project, it doesn't hurt at looking at some loveliness for home - in particular these black skull tie backs. Not to mention the tongue in cheek print - need it.

For beauty findings and lustings this week - I'm hankering after a matte top coat and this O.P.I one seems to fit the bill. My skins feeling a little congested in the usual areas at the moment so a powerful cleansing mask (or masque) should do the trick!

I won't be around on instagram if you follow me (you should,) on that - I'm currently waiting for the new nexus 7 to arrive at my door (I wasn't after a new one, but my Madre wanted my one... so what you gonna do, right?)so that means no instagram.

Happy Monday Lovelies!

I very nearly forgot to write a post for today. We actually managed to have a barbecue on Saturday and Sunday so all were pretty sleepy and content after a very yummy weekend. At least we can't moan now, because we've had at least two summer barbecues! 

I've had my beady eye on the Hugo Boss 'Jour' perfume, as I'm a huge fan of the 'Orange' range - and I signed up for one of the samples sent out by Boots. Oh my, it really didn't disappoint and I'll be purchasing a full size bottle when pennies allow!

A holiday actually seems possible for next year - I'm pretty blue about not being able to get away this year but it looks like ten days in May will be spent in Spain - hooray! It means plenty of time to lose a few lbs (probably gained in those barbecues...) and also plenty of time to lust over holiday wear... Most notably the leather holdall (for the plane,) from Top Shop and the Tiger crop top that could pretty much be used beach to bar if needed. 

I don't have much planned for this week - apart from the usual back issues and waiting for physio to call me, anyway.

This week I'm back to work! Boo! Even though I'm back to the daily grind that is retail, I've still got some cool reviews coming up this week that I can't wait to share with you guys. 

I know it's been hot and then that disgusting humid/rain thang that then occurred - but I've really been craving a bath instead of a shower. I think it's part back/stress that's making me miss hour long soaks in the tub. Hence one of my picks for this week the Deep Steep Organic Tangerine bubble bath. Oh man, tangerine bubble bath? I need a tub - stat!

Happy Monday Lovelies!

This week means one more trip to the doctors. Fun times! However there are some things I've planned whilst I'm resting up, namely; sewing. I'm going to be altering a tea-dress which is too long, making a cushion cover and hopefully a stool cover too. I would have done this last week, but the sewing box was misplaced!

I'm seriously craving some time away. At least seven days, sun, sea and sand... you get the drill. Last year/the start of this year I had such plans laid out (one city break, one sun holiday) - but of course life got in the way and now I'm left with not a lot of money to pay for it (blame the costs of keeping a car.) I shall settle for good ol' blighty and hope that this weather will extend to August so I can make a few trips out with the boyfriend.

For this reason (any excuse,) I'm seriously craving Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse in Golden Shimmer - I saw Essie's review and it just cemented the idea more in my head. I'd gladly take the smaller version, and keep it for summer evenings. The fact you can use this every where is also a win-win. Perfect shimmering pins and glittering hair? Oh please!

This orange crepe t-shirt style dress is also calling out to me, lightweight and a staple for the summer season, I feel!

Happy Monday Lovelies!

It's back to work this week for me - which sucks as I've quite gotten used to sleeping... In any case I've got one last day of freedom (hooray!) so I'll be finishing filming with the Mr, trying to finish my essay which is super important (my god, why can't I write more than three paragraphs!) and later on a spot of babysitting. 

Here are the usual six items that cheer me up this week - Monochrome was pretty on the runway but even prettier for your pockets now that it's on the high street. Topshop have good buys for this, not to mention the 'grunge' selection is quite good. 

I've got some projects lined up for home in the next couple of months - if this goes completely wrong, I'm just looking at small white storage from Ikea as backup - more on this when I've actually done it!

Bioderma is now in the U.K! Hoorah! I'll be picking up a small bottle of Sensibio to try out - given the hype of these products I'm expecting a lot...

Last but not least - Ren Skincare, I'm intrigued by this clay cleanser/mask treatment promising to soothe skin (oh please redness, be gone!) but generally any excuse for a pampering session intrigues me...

Hello lovelies!

I want all of these things. That chair also doubles as a single guest bed - and it's in grey. Swoon. And do not even get me started about the media unit in yellow! Goodness! Anyway, moving on...

I'll be frank. I am tired. Shattered. Knackered. Worn out. All of those and then some.

After working 10+ days in a row, yesterday was the hardest on my mind. I had to do an early shift and late shift. Oh the joys of shift work! I moan, of course, but I do enjoy working and I offered to do the work because, well, I like buying things. You sort of need money for that. I also like moaning. ;)

I now have a week off so I can take some time to evaluate our living space. We have a living room and a bedroom - but the living room is also like a dressing room too - with two wardrobes, a chest of drawers, a tv unit, a bookcase and a hamster... Kind of crowded at the moment.

I had an idea to get rid of one set of wardrobes, and change the dresser to two tall but slim dressers I think maybe these from Ikea - so we still had our own area for clothes and the remaining wardrobe could be used for dresses/stuff that shouldn't be folded/shoved into drawers. We need the space for a desk (eventually,) for the boyfriends mac, plus it would make us feel less crowded. 

So - the extra hours at work were needed, I need the pennies to fund this project. I also want to upholster our footstool but that can wait until April - when my parents return from Spain, well rested. Then I can pounce and use my mothers seamstress skills to the full! 

Sorry for the ramble but isn't it nice to get it all out? Right, I'm off to get the polish and duster... ;)

Hello lovelies!

Another January week faces us! To be honest, I am quite enjoying my January so far. 

I have made some changes, resolutions, if you will, diet - or lifestyle change, actually and all that comes along after the indulgence of December. Which is a double whammy for me, thanks to also being born in December!

Have you got any resolutions or making lifestyle changes (like myself,) or have you broken them already?

So here is my little lust list for this week! I'm swooning after the tee for some reason. Who doesn't like space? ;)
