WISHLIST

Sandals // Necklace // Illuminator // Terrarium // Bed Socks

I swear to god that every summer I look at all the new sandals that come out but all I really want/need is a simple tan pair. And every year leaves me a little disappointed that I can't find the pair. So far, this H&M pair look good but still not quite what I'm after. I'm really quite fussy with my sandals that I like a sling back, preferably elasticated because a.) I'm lazy and b.) it's way more comfortable.

I've even considered Birkenstocks but I have a suspicion I'm really not 'cool' enough to pull them off.

After running out of this little gem, I've been meaning to pick up the Revlon PhotoReady SkinLights Illuminator. In peach or bronze, as I tend to use these products mixed with a primer. I just couldn't buy another of the no7 version, even though I frickin' love it - the brush at the end just makes everything so very dried up and just plain unhygienic. If it changed to just a tube? I'd buy all the stock. All of it.

Another thing I've been hankering over is bed socks. I know, we are coming into spring (its still pretty cold, I kind of feel we are still in winter, by the way,) but I need some new ones and a cheeky order may have been placed. I just can't stand having freezing cold feet. Bring on summer (in which I complain that I am too hot, yay!)

Since breaking two of my planters for my cacti (one a terrarium, one a fishbowl style) I've been lurking the UO website as they have some reasonably priced ones on there that look amazing. But honestly, we are all so clumsy that I feel maybe I should just keep my poor cacti and succulents in the "emergency housing" pyrex glass roasting dish they are currently in (I'm not even kidding. Nope.)

Lastly. Turquoise. ALL THE TURQUOISE. Maybe I'm biased because it's my birthstone or whatever, but my god - turquoise with gold is just it for me. I need all the rings and necklaces, cheers.

What's on your wishlist?

Sophie.

Home | Wishlist

I know. I usually keep a wishlist for Mondays, a nice little roundup of things I've spied on the web that have taken my fancy. Seeing as our living space is coming along nicely I'd thought I would share some items that I'm most definitely buying and somethings I'm just gon-need... Oh, and it's a rambling post, so go get some coffee or tea...

Stationery Love

Is it just bloggers, or do we go on about stationery all the time? On a plus side it does keep me organized and recently I had a tiny splurge for some new notebooks for the coming months...

Recent Purchases

There is nothing quite like the sound of a delivery van arriving, nor the feeling of a new parcel delivered, no? Just me then?

Happy Monday Lovelies!

I've hit a few milestones recently; on my Saturday posting it was my 300th post on this ol' blog and I've only just realised that I hit well over 13,000 views - which is a pretty big deal to me considering that once upon a time absolutely no one was reading and now I'm getting a steady flow of readers (you can follow me on bloglovin' if you like ;) which is amazing. I'd like to think over the past year or so the blog has improved in terms of photographic quality (sometimes, I still battle with the GH1,) but mostly content however if you have any recommendations do feel free to leave them below.

My little top picks for this week; having picked up a fine knit jumper from H&M and realised that it's cut, colour and overall quality is the holy grail for me for lightweight knits (I prefer to layer lightly,) I have now decided I need 'em all. This grey one included. I also need to re-purchase the flats I bought last year, they are the perfect tan flats and just go with all the things. ALL.

We're also still on the hunt for the perfect desk. I know Josh wants to make his own but given we don't have the room the kind of size he's looking at we have now come down to a compromise just to buy a simple, cheap but still aesthetically pleasing desk. Like I said, we're still hunting, the one from Ikea (Gallant range) is slightly too big but you get the gist; simple.

On a beauty note; have you seen the beautiful shades from the Christian Dior Pop Art collection? Literally beautiful pops of colour that I'm seriously lusting over...

I won't be posting as much as I have this week; just due to doctors and what not but posting will probably resume as normal next week.

Have an amazing week!

Peace!

Mini Haul | Fragrance Direct

I didn't intend to go to Fragrance Direct again but so many people had mentioned they had restocked Essie polishes (for the ridiculous price of £1.99,) that I couldn't help but click my way over there - the thing is I decided against more polish, strange I know but instead picked up four things (one a repurchase,) that I was actually intrigued in.

First up is the Royal Seven Way Nail Buffer - I actually lost my previous buffer and for 99 pence I was not about to stick my nose up at it, it works divinely by the by - so if you're in the market for a new buffer - look no further.

My repurchase was of course the Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser which feels like a gel/oil when you work it in - it smells gorgeous and really is the perfect cleanser for morning time.

The Manhattan Eyebrow Kit (I'm sorry but I can't find the link, I'm thinking it must be out of stock but the brand page is here - it may come back into stock,) features a dark brown and a light brown powder plus a setting wax, the texture is very nice indeed but I'll have to see about longevity - so keep an eye out for this one on the blog at a later date...

Last but not least is the Royal tweezer and glass nail file kit - I'd been hankering after a glass nail file and this is perfect, the tweezers are just a bonus (they do a good job, very sturdy,) it's so easy to get the shape I want without faffing around which seems to be the case with standard nail files sending dust flying everywhere. Once again I can't get the link so it might be out of stock but the brands nail tool page is here.

So that's my little hauls over and out - have you had any recent discoveries and new purchases?

Peace!

Real Techniques Mini-Haul

I love Real Techniques brushes and not just because I adore the Pixiwoo sisters (their tutorial videos are always on top of my watch list on YouTube,) but because they really are great brushes at a great price point.

iHerb is a website I have used before to pick up my other Real Techniques brushes - for an even better price so I used it again and saved some money and if you're in the market for some new brushes, replacing old ones - you can save some money too.

If you spend over $40 on your first order you can get $10 off your order using the code; MPL147. If you spend under $40 you can still get $5 off with the same code. I chose the cheapest shipping option and these came to me (as before) in two weeks.

I picked up the shading brush - I don't have this particular kind of brush so picked that up as a kind of necessary purchase but the main reason for shopping was for the Duo Fiber Collection, limited edition. I'm a sucker for a limited edition in products that I love so it was a no brainer, plus I loved the look of the brushes (if there wasn't room for them in my collection, I wouldn't have bought them - simple as,) and iHerb also include little gifts - mine a little compact mirror which are always handy.

These brushes so far, I may add I haven't had them long so shan't do a full review - I adore them. I know that the eye brush has got a lot of hate - but I love it as much as the other two. I think maybe because it isn't as soft as the other two that people don't like it? I'm not sure - but I've enjoyed using this as a crease brush and it's working beautifully. The contour brush is perfect for highlighters (powder and cream,) and the face brush is great for bronzer. It's pretty obvious but the single brush I bought is great at doing it's job too; shading and defining.

Have you picked up this collection yet? Do you love it or hate it?

Peace!

Happy Monday Lovelies!

This week as mentioned in Saturdays post I'll be leading my ever-exciting life and tryin' to crack (haha,) down on this back pain/issue I have been having. I won't lie to you, I've been super, super anxious about not working - I don't have an amazing job by any means, it's very low rung as the case may be but it's still a job - even if it is only part time. Does anyone else get like that if they've been off work for a long time? Let me know in the comments.

Hang on though, because it's Monday and I don't particularly want to start off on a glum note - so look at some of these pretty (necessary,) pieces! I'm in love with the bunny box storage (swoon,) and the bag (of course,) but the trainers are just thrown in because I need an everyday plimsoll/hightop because my current ones are ruined. Ain't nobody got time for holes in soles in Devon weather, let me assure you that!

I hope you have an amazing week and do let me know if you're doing anything exciting (so I can live vicariously through you, haha!)

Peace!

Happy Monday Lovelies!

I'm just about to jet off to the doctors for a blood test - the ever glamorous life I lead, eh? So this weeks picks have a bit of luxury about them - I'm particularly lusting over the Le Labo perfume/oils in Fleur D'Oranger and Acne coin purse. One day - that perfect blue purse will be mine!

Finally managed to send away all the important documents for the next module in my Open University 'step' - I rang one of the advisers to discuss the next course and which would be best for me and I've made the decision to study a design course. I'm pretty excited about it!

My parents had an impromptu barbecue on the weekend because my niece and nephew were around which was insanely yummy. It's nearly the end of the school term for them, they are so excited for the summer holidays and I hope this good weather stays - for my sisters sanity and theirs!

I hope you all have an amazing week!

Peace!

Green + Orange | Mini Haulin'

I finally picked up Reggae Splash from Morrisons the other morning when I had to run out and buy emergency cigars (!) for Joshua. I patted myself on the back for not picking up more colours (trying to curb spending only slightly, I need to save yo'!) and made my way back home. Coming home however and it seems a few small packages had arrived and what tumbled out was all green and orange.

First up, obviously just going to touch on Reggae Splash - it's beautiful - I'm currently rocking it on toes and fingers which never usually happens. It's a subtle summer colour and I dig it.

A bit boring, but the silicone ice trays were a purchase from eBay - we some how lost ours and had taken to using sandwich bags tied in a knot because we were all so desperate for some ice. I know you can get pretty cool shaped ones but this was just 'grab a bog standard one and be done' kind of thing - plus my local supermarket had sold out and I wasn't about to venture into the city for an ice tray, not in this weather!

I managed to get a sample of the Origins Drink Up Intensive mask to test on my skin, this product has been raved about but I have probably mentioned before - I'd rather get a sample first before shelling out for skin care - I have sensitive/dry skin and sometimes it's paid off being sensible this way. Saying that, I am so eager to try this bad boy!

Last but not least a new Revlon Just Bitten Kissable shade (Charm) for me to lust over - but this one is not in the UK stores I believe so I had to hit eBay for it, and it worked out cheaper than the ones here in the shops anyway! It's a gorgeous peachy shade and feel it's going to have pride of place in my make up bag...

Peace!
